Many many months ago (actually it was May 2009) Jetstar had an amazing special on flights to New Zealand. And since I was able to work some out that coincided with Greg's 60th birthday ... how could I resist. So at the old old age of 59.9 years and 52.5 years respectively, Greg and I are finally going overseas (mind NZ is like visiting a country cousin for Australians). Sunday 28 February was the public opening of the Clem7 Tunnel - linking the southern side of Brisbane with the northern side without the need to drive thru all the city streets/traffic lights etc ... you get the idea. To walk thru the tunnel you had to register for free tickets. A friend of a friend got some and we were invited to join them. The organisers strongly suggested using public transport (eg free buses would be running from selected terminals) to get you to the northern end.
